The “Beautiful Game”, as soccer is referred to around the world, has been played in the United States for a long time, from the American Soccer League in the 1920s, through the North American Soccer League in the 1970s, the FIFA World Cup in the US in 1994, and various wins and achievements of the US Women and Men National Soccer Teams.

Still, it took soccer some time to catch up as one of the major sports which are part of the American culture.  But since established and kicked off in 1996, the American Major League of Soccer is turning soccer to one of the fastest-growing sports in America.  Soccer in the US now produces world-class athletes, draws crowds and fans to stadiums by the thousands and has a worldwide following on TV and media.  The MLS draws not only thousands to fill up stadiums, but also soccer stars from all over the world that are coming to play in one of the world’s most exciting and fastest-growing soccer leagues.

Many big cities around America are standing in line in hope to get a bid for an MLS expansion franchise, which will enable them to build a team, stadium, and soccer club that will become part of their culture and heritage.

The MLS is taking America by storm, and the beautiful game of soccer is here to stay.  With every day that goes by, American soccer is capturing hearts of more fans, filling dreams of more children, and filling millions of Americans with pride for being an honourable nation in the soccer world.

As our name suggests, we at MLSFanZone are a group of die-hard MLS fans, and have been soccer fanatics for all our lives.  So we decided to share our passion and love of the beautiful game, and the beautiful league.

And so, MLSFanZone is our labor of love of the MLS.
